SHAH ALAM, 7 March 2025 – Gas Malaysia Berhad (“Gas Malaysia”), a member of MMC Group, continued its tradition of giving back to the community by hosting a meaningful Ramadan event at Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort. This initiative aimed to bring joy to the less fortunate children, reflecting the company’s unwavering commitment towards uplifting the community it serves and the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was graced with the presence of Gas Malaysia’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer, En Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap, along with members of the management team and employees. The highlight of the evening was the distribution of Duit Raya to the children, bringing smiles and joy to their faces. Further extending its support, Gas Malaysia contributed a total sum of RM48,000 to six orphanage homes, namely, Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Pusat Jagaan Budi Bistari, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ar Rahmaniah, Rumah Bakti Nur Ain, Asrama Haluan Penyayang and Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Asnaf An-Naafi.
Speaking to reporters at the event, En Ahmad Hashimi emphasised the importance of corporate entities playing an active role in uplifting the less fortunate, particularly during Ramadan.
“At Gas Malaysia, we believe in fostering a culture of compassion and generosity. This event is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to support the less fortunate and ensure that the spirit and joy of Ramadan is shared with those in need,” he stated.
Gas Malaysia remains steadfast in its commitment towards corporate responsibility, continuing to undertake initiatives that create a positive impact on the communities it serves.
“We hope that the time spent breaking fast together, along with our contributions to the respective homes, brings warmth, comfort, and happiness to these children, while at the same time strengthening the values of kindness and unity that define the spirit of Ramadan,” En Ahmad Hashimi concluded.
