Gas Malaysia Contributes to Tabung Selangor Prihatin in Support of Putra Heights Fire Victims

SHAH ALAM, 30 JUNE 2025 – Gas Malaysia Berhad (“Gas Malaysia”), a member of MMC Group, reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by contributing to Tabung Selangor Prihatin in support of victims affected by the recent fire incident in Putra Heights. The official cheque handover ceremony took place at the office of the State Secretary of Selangor, attended by key representatives from the Selangor State Government and Gas Malaysia.

The financial contribution, jointly made by the company and its employees, was presented by En. Mohamad Farid bin Ghazali, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing of Gas Malaysia, to YB Datuk Dr Haniff bin Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer of Selangor. This joint effort reflects the shared commitment to support those in need during challenging times.

Affirming Gas Malaysia’s firm commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen, En. Mohamad Farid bin Ghazali, “This aid reflects our solidarity with the affected community and our continued support for the State Government’s efforts to provide timely relief and assistance. We sincerely hope that it will help ease the burden of those impacted and assist in their recovery and rebuilding process.”

Gas Malaysia Berhad, a member of MMC Corporation Berhad, was established on 16 May 1992 to sell, market and distribute natural gas as well as to construct, operate and maintain the Natural Gas Distribution System (“NGDS”) within Peninsular Malaysia.
