Gas Malaysia Green Venture Sdn. Bhd. (GMGV), formerly known as Gas Malaysia IEV Sdn. Bhd. and Gas Malaysia Virtual Pipeline Sdn. Bhd. (GMVP), was established with the primary goal of spearheading green gas initiatives such as biomethane and biogas projects.
In July, we celebrated a major achievement by welcoming our 1000th industrial customer through GMES.
Our Green Gas initiative reached significant milestones with the successful injection of bioCH4 into our NGDS in February (Coronation) and August (Sedenak).
We continued to expand, adding 26 new customers and expansions for four existing customers in the industrial sector
a) We now operate and maintain over 2,900 km of natural gas distribution systems across Peninsular Malaysia. In 2024, our subsidiary, Gas Malaysia Distribution Sdn. Bhd. (GMD), added over 120 km of new pipelines.
b) In our biomethane business, we made great strides with the launch of the Ampang Jajar Entry Station and its pipeline construction. A highlight was signing the Supplemental Gas Supply Agreement with our first certified biomethane customer, Intercontinental Specialty Fats (ISF)
