In light of the fire incident involving a gas pipeline at Putra Heights, we would like to remind all members of the public to exercise caution when undertaking any activities in the vicinity of our gas pipeline infrastructure. Our gas pipelines are clearly marked with signboards and pipeline markers along our designated pipeline pathway to alert the public and third parties of the presence of gas pipeline infrastructure.

Gas Supply Act 1993 (Amendment 2016) states any party intending to carry out construction activities near Gas Malaysia’s pipeline infrastructure must first obtain a valid work permit from Gas Malaysia. The Company will fully supervise the activities to ensure safety and compliance. Any person who commits an offence under the Gas Supply Act may be prosecuted and the penalty for such offence may include a fine and/or imprisonment.
