Visiting the Paediatric Ward
Gas Malaysia employees visited children warded at Hospital Shah Alam’s paediatric ward in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration. It was organised with an effort to spread cheer among the warded children and also to show appreciation to the doctors and nurses for their commitment in caring for the sick children.
Donated Digital Handheld Pulse Oximeter to Government Hospitals
In an effort to appreciate committed frontliners who are working hard to curb the spread of COVID-19, we contributed several Digital Handheld Pulse Oximeters to four government hospitals. The Digital Handheld Pulse Oximeters is an important medical device used by frontliners to monitor blood oxygen levels of COVID-19 patients.
Qurban Initiative
As part of our community engagement programme, we distributed 9 cattle for Ibadah Qurban. The cattle were segregated and distributed to various mosques throughout Peninsular Malaysia. This inaugural initiative saw the active involvement and support from our employees as well as mosque committee members.
National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA)
In an effort to assist the needy, we provided financial aid to MAKNA in support of their Bursary Assistance Programme. The programme assists financially challenged cancer patients with monthly allowances, medical equipment, medication and supplementary items to enable them to cope with their illness.
Assisting Flood Victims
In line with our commitment towards helping the unfortunate, we aided about 85 families who were affected due to the flood in Kluang, Johor. We handed over rice cookers, thick blankets and 3-ply face masks to the affected families.
Back to School Programme for Underprivileged School Children
We organised a “Back To School” programme to provide school necessities to 150 underprivileged school children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Shah Alam Seksyen 16. It was aimed to assist the underprivileged (B40) school children by providing school necessities such as school uniforms, shoes, stationaries, hygiene kits and related items for the 2021 schooling term.
Donating Unused Workable Computers
We contributed several unused (refurbished) workable computers to several schools. The objective of this initiative was to promote e-learning among underprivileged students and to enable them to continue studying online without any interruption to their education.

As part of our focus to contribute for the well-being of the society, we carried out numerous initiatives to aid the underprivileged, precisely where we operate.
Supporting Local Talent
In line with our commitment to supporting local talent, precisely young talented footballers, we provided sponsorship to the Football Association Of Selangor, under their ‘Local Giants Programme’.
MARA Education Foundation
We provided financial assistance to benefit up to 1,010 school students from ten MARA learning centres throughout the nation. In preparation for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (“SPM”) examinations, the students were tutored by professional teachers from Maktab Rendah Sains MARA via online learning.
Gas Malaysia Donates Essential Household Items To The Needy
With a commitment to aid the less fortunate by improving their living conditions, Gas Malaysia Berhad, a member of MMC Group, conducted a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in response to the current Covid-19 outbreak by distributing essential household items to about 100 families living in PPR Lembah Subang flats, Petaling Jaya. This CSR initiative is an effort to engage with the less fortunate communities under the MMC Prihatin programme.

We conducted a corporate social responsibility initiative in response to the current Covid-19 outbreak by distributing essential household items to about 100 families living in Pangsapuri Sri Nervillia, Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

In line with our continuous effort to extend our CSR programmes to a wider pool of beneficiaries, we donated medical equipment to several hospitals in an effort to aid our frontliners in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. These medical equipment are vital in helping our frontliners treat Covid-19 patients.
Gas Malaysia Donates Essential Household Groceries To Local Traders And Hawkers
With a commitment to aid the less fortunate by improving their living conditions, Gas Malaysia contributed essential household groceries to about 500 affected traders and hawkers at Pusat Penjaja Dataran Bukit Antarabangsa, Pantai Dalam. This initiative is an effort to lessen the burden of the impacted local traders and hawkers due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Gas Malaysia Launches A Motorcycle Refuelling Campaign To Assist The Needy
Gas Malaysia held an event themed “Kempen Tuang Minyak – Awak Isi, Kami Bayar”. This initiative was held in an effort to aid the lower income group amidst the adverse impact of the Covid-19 pandemic by subsidising the petrol refill cost for motorcycles below 170cc. In total, this initiative benefitted about 750 to 1,000 motorcyclists and it was held simultaneously in areas where we conduct our business.
