Gas Malaysia would be delighted to work with you.
All activities within the vicinity of Gas Malaysia's distribution
network require approval and authorisation from the Operations Control Centre. We recommend
that all contractors obtain the relevant information regarding our pipelines, and submit work
plans before commencing activities.
To obtain precise information on the exact location of our pipelines, it is advisable that you
submit a request for information to any of our offices nationwide (at least four working days in
advance). All written requests should detail the work plans and exact location of work.
For your added convenience, you may also submit a request for information online from this portal.
In the event that a pipeline is located within the vicinity of the intended area of work, you
would be required to apply for a work permit.
Find out more about how a work permit is issued by Gas Malaysia.
Under the Gas Supply Act 1993, work can only commence once the contractors have obtained an
official approval from Gas Malaysia.
In the event that a pipeline is located within the vicinity of the intended area of work, the
contactor would be required to apply for a work permit. However, if there are no pipelines within
the vicinity, Gas Malaysia shall reply to the requesting party accordingly, permitting the
commencement of work immediately.
For areas within the vicinity of our pipelines, Gas Malaysia requires one of its representatives
to be present on-site during the commencement of work.
Please ensure the following safety matters when carrying out activities within the vicinity of
our pipelines:
- Do NOT allow any heavy machinery to bypass on or near the underground pipeline route.
- Do NOT litter near the gas pipeline facilities.
- Do NOT allow open burning near the gas pipeline facilities.
