In order to maintain a high-level of standards and expectations, Gas Malaysia requires that vendors be registered prior to conducting any business transactions.

In addition, any vendor who is keen to be a pipeline contractor (steel or polyethylene pipes) should register with the Energy Commission as a Class A Contractor, prior to registering with Gas Malaysia.

What Is the Criteria for Registration?

To be a registered vendor or contractor with Gas Malaysia, the following criteria has to be met:

• A Malaysian registered company.
• Bumiputra Equity of more than 60% (criterion is excluded where proprietary products are involved).
• Products or services offered are of relevance to Gas Malaysia's requirements and nature of business.
• Vast experience in the relevant areas of expertise.
• Registered with the Construction Industrial Development Board (CIDB).
• Able to provide and satisfy Gas Malaysia in relation to financial standing, with relevant supporting documents.

How Do I Register as a Vendor / Contractor?

Registration forms are available from the Procurement and Contracts Department at Gas Malaysia's Head Office for a nominal fee of RM10.
