As we move into our fourteen year of operations, we at Gas Malaysia
continuously aim to stay ahead of the energy solutions industry.
While generating revenue is a prime concern for any corporation,
we believe that there is more to business than just sales and products. We hope that our provision
of total energy solutions will benefit the nation in terms of enhanced living standards and
profitability.
Gas Malaysia provides efficient, clean and uninterrupted energy supply for 33,453 residential
and commercial customers as well as 643 industrial customers.
In the year 2006, total gas sold by Gas Malaysia was 96.9 million mmBtu throughout Peninsular
Malaysia. Total sales volume is projected to increase 6% to 102.7 million mmBtu in 2007. As at
May 2007, our network of gas pipeline covering a total of 1,510.5 km (1,486.3 km completed,
24.2 km WIP) is constantly expanding to reach a larger population.
At Gas Malaysia, we are constantly exploring new cost-effective measures to provide the cleanest,
safest, cost effective and reliable energy solutions for homes and businesses.
Our plans include the introduction of distributed generation, which will allow customers to produce
their own electricity with gas driven co-generation facilities within their premises.
Other initiatives on our roadmap also include, the extension of payment methods for our customers,
will be the highlight of our service offerings in years to come.
